Musical theatre star Simon Gleeson - most famous for his acclaimed interpretation of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables - is performing on The Playhouse stage in September.
Simon’s concert Bring Him Home is part of Geelong Performing Arts Centre’s Musical Mornings Season 2 concert series presented by Tuckers.
Simon starred in Cameron Mackintosh's Australian production of Les Misérables, winning the2015 Helpmann award for Best Male Actor in a Musical. He recently returned to the role for a seven-month stint in the longest-running production on London’s west end.
In this concert, Simon will perform songs from his debut album Elements – a stirring tapestry of songs that have shaped his career, including beloved songs from Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Elton John and George Harrison – and of course his stunning interpretation of Bring Him Home from Les Misérables.
The acclaimed performer has worked on stage, film and television in Australia and overseas, and is currently working closer to home while his wife Natalie O’Donnell stars in the Australian production of Mama Mia!. The talented couple met at drama school and live in Geelong with their two children.
