The Ryrie Street Redevelopment has moved to the next stage with State Planning Minister Richard Wynne announcing planning approval for the $38.5 million project.
The $38.5 million investment by the Andrews Labor Government will transform Ryrie Street and build a major cultural centre for Geelong’s CBD.
The redevelopment will include better access to the Arts Centre and Playhouse Theatre studios, while building more rehearsal areas and spaces for the community to use.
The improvements will make Geelong even more attractive to new business, investors, tourists and residents.
The construction contract is expected to be awarded in August 2017.
