Join fearless adventurer Phileas Fogg and his faithful manservant Passepartout as they set out to win an outrageous wager by circling the globe in an unheard-of 80 days. Danger, romance, and comic surprises abound in this whirlwind of a show as three actors portraying 39 characters traverse seven continents in one of the great adventures of all time.

    The bet is on! Travel AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS in this thrilling new production for all audiences - which takes you from London to Bombay, Yokohama to San Francisco, through typhoons, out-of-control trains and into the deepest reaches of your imagination as it's all done with just three actors playing a multitude of roles on the stage of the Drama Theatre. The cast features three extraordinarily talented actors, Ian Stenlake, Pia Miranda & Grant Piro.

    Phileas Fogg says he can race from London to London in a mere 80 days, but the pressure is on and time is running out.  At his side, a band of quirky adventurers. At their heels, a relentless Scotland Yard detective. At stake, surviving utterly fantastic adventures across India, China, Japan and America - beating the clock - and winning the bet. This is no movie…this is theatre at its most magical and transporting!

    Producer Helen Ellis says: ”We are delighted to be producing the Australian premiere of this new adaptation of a classic story told in a completely unexpected way. Audiences are going to be taken on an extraordinary trip around the globe without ever leaving Geelong.”

    This extraordinary production opens in Geelong September 14 for five performances only in the Drama Theatre and is presented as part of GPAC’s 2016 Deakin University Theatre Season.
